Requirements:
- Diploma in Purchasing, Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a relevant business qualification
- B.Com Supply Chain, CPIM, Diploma in Logistics, or similar qualification will be advantageous
- 4–5 years’ experience in inventory management, purchasing, supply chain, or related logistics functions
- Experience within a manufacturing or automotive environment is essential
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and VDA standards
- Understanding of procurement governance and compliance procedures
- Experience with inventory management, sourcing, import logistics, and manufacturing lead times
- Experience managing suppliers and freight forwarders
- Advanced proficiency in SAP, IDIS, or equivalent systems
- Strong MS Office skills
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment
- Self-driven, organised, methodical, and able to work independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills at all organisational levels
- Confident and assertive when dealing with suppliers, service providers, and logistics partners
- Strong customer-service orientation with professional telephone and email etiquette
- Ability to interpret raw data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end urgent parts logistics function
- Monitor inventory performance, demand, and backorders
- Optimise stock levels and ensure service-level targets are achieved
- Manage sourcing and replenishment of critical parts and accessories
- Coordinate parts availability from local and international suppliers
- Analyse and manage airfreight costs to improve cost efficiency
- Manage excess and obsolete inventory
- Coordinate supplier claims and follow up on corrective actions
- Produce inventory, demand, service-level, and performance reports
- Analyse operational data and provide insights to support business decision-making
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and VDA standards
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Drive continuous process and operational improvements
- Lead, coach, develop, and performance-manage a team of Analysts
- Build effective relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, service providers, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure operational excellence and achievement of business objectives
- Identify potential supply and logistics risks and implement appropriate corrective actions
