Description Requirements:
  • Diploma in Purchasing, Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a relevant business qualification
  • B.Com Supply Chain, CPIM, Diploma in Logistics, or similar qualification will be advantageous
  • 4–5 years’ experience in inventory management, purchasing, supply chain, or related logistics functions
  • Experience within a manufacturing or automotive environment is essential
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and VDA standards
  • Understanding of procurement governance and compliance procedures
  • Experience with inventory management, sourcing, import logistics, and manufacturing lead times
  • Experience managing suppliers and freight forwarders
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP, IDIS, or equivalent systems
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment
  • Self-driven, organised, methodical, and able to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills at all organisational levels
  • Confident and assertive when dealing with suppliers, service providers, and logistics partners
  • Strong customer-service orientation with professional telephone and email etiquette
  • Ability to interpret raw data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end urgent parts logistics function
  • Monitor inventory performance, demand, and backorders
  • Optimise stock levels and ensure service-level targets are achieved
  • Manage sourcing and replenishment of critical parts and accessories
  • Coordinate parts availability from local and international suppliers
  • Analyse and manage airfreight costs to improve cost efficiency
  • Manage excess and obsolete inventory
  • Coordinate supplier claims and follow up on corrective actions
  • Produce inventory, demand, service-level, and performance reports
  • Analyse operational data and provide insights to support business decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and VDA standards
  • Participate in internal and external audits
  • Drive continuous process and operational improvements
  • Lead, coach, develop, and performance-manage a team of Analysts
  • Build effective relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, service providers, and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure operational excellence and achievement of business objectives
  • Identify potential supply and logistics risks and implement appropriate corrective actions
