Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning
  • CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) qualification
  • Completed Regulatory Examination (RE5)
  • Strong understanding of investment products and financial planning principles
  • Sound knowledge of legislation relating to investments and retirement
  • Understanding of tax within the context of financial planning
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Deadline-driven with strong time-management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and professional financial planning proposals within required SLA timeframes.
  • Draft financial recommendations aligned with clients’ goals, needs, and objectives.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of investment products, including living annuities, life annuities, retirement annuities, preservation funds, discretionary investments, endowments, and tax-free savings investments.
  • Prepare portfolio reviews according to the required frequency and within stipulated SLA timeframes.
  • Ensure all proposals and portfolio reviews are accurately captured on the CRM system.
  • Discuss portfolio reviews with clients and accurately record feedback on the CRM.
  • Monitor income sustainability and notify members where income may not be sustainable.
  • Manage and attend to case requests within required SLA timeframes.
  • Categorise cases correctly and provide accurate feedback to relevant parties.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues, advisors, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Keep templates and documentation up to date in line with legislative changes.
  • Test new CRM functions and processes when required.
  • Provide technical support to financial advisors on retirement funds, legislation, and taxation.
  • Authorise Investec CCM payments.
  • Assist members with general enquiries where financial advisor involvement is not required.
  • Ensure all work is accurate, compliant, and aligned with prescribed processes and standards.
