Description	Our client, a leader in their field, is seeking to employ an experienced Mechanical Services Engineer (Foundry) to their highly skilled team. This position is based in Port Elizabeth. A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and/or trade tested Mechanical Fitter (Minimum N6) plus a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position secures. An awesome career opportunity awaits you! Requirements: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and/or trade tested Mechanical Fitter (Minimum N6). A certificate or diploma in supervisory management and/or a proven track record in a similar position. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position. Above average computer skills. Foundry experience would be advantageous. Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience is essential. Must be able to read CAD drawings. Must be prepared to work standby and call-out duties. Tolerance for stress and the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines. Responsibilities, but not limited to: To maintain the plant and ensure that uptime is at a required standard. Control Maintenance costs according to the budget. Purchasing of Spares and Equipment. Manage projects. Liaison with suppliers. Implementation of all Safety aspects within the Plant. Investigate and make recommendations with regard to improved performance of plant and machinery. Must be strong on decision making and problem solving; finding ways to improve efficiency of an operation. Manage artisans with regards to performance, discipline etc. Training and development of staff. Stand in for the Plant Engineer in his absence when required. Dealing with all Engineering aspects within the department, e.g. planned, preventative, breakdown maintenance and stock levels of spare parts.
