Our client in the Automotive Industry (welding and engineering specialists), is currently seeking to employ a Milling Machinist to be based at their Port Elizabeth operation.

Requirements:

• Must have experience working on CNC milling machines.

• Experience working on a lathe would be advantageous.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

• Knowledge of safety and quality standards in a machining environment.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines according to engineering drawings and specifications.

• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs.

• Monitor the machining process and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality.

• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on machines.

• Conduct quality checks on finished components using measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).

• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and production deadlines.

• Maintain clean and organized workstations.
