Our client, a leader in the Manufacturing Industry, is looking to employ an experienced Key Account Manager to their team based in Pinetown, KZN.
To secure : 8–10 years of experience in a sales and marketing environment and sound knowledge of a manufacturing and engineering environment is essential.

Requirements:

NQF Level 5, minimum 120 credits (National Certificate or Higher Certificate, e.g. National Certificate in Systems Support or Higher Certificate).

Sales or Marketing training and certifications.

Minimum 8–10 years of experience in a sales and marketing environment.

Extensive understanding of sales metrics and methodologies.
-
Highly developed strategic sales, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Strong financial and people management capabilities.
-
Excellent customer relations and communication skills (verbal and written).
-
Exceptional planning, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
-
Motivation for sales and results-driven mindset.
-
Knowledge of a manufacturing and engineering environment is essential.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Sheets.
-
Own vehicle essential.
-
Willingness to travel on short notice.
Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
-
Create, build and maintain profitable, long-term relationships with key account customers.
-
Ensure customer satisfaction and service excellence to retain current markets and clients.
-
Actively identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities in defined business areas.
-
Define and manage strategic relationships with key individuals across existing and potential customer accounts.
-
Achieve set sales and margin targets both individually and as part of a team.
-
Develop and implement effective account strategies aligned with company goals.
-
Generate and qualify leads; schedule and conduct sales activities and calls.
-
Present business solutions, requirements, and pricing to clients at an executive level.
-
Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and project handovers (internal and external).
-
Monitor and report on sales performance, forecasts, and lead probabilities (updated at least twice weekly).
-
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and reporting tools.
-
Implement sales programs and contribute to budget planning and financial performance.
-
Perform marketing coordination and integrate business plans for enhanced alignment.
-
Support management information systems with relevant data from sales and prospecting activities.
-
Ensure adherence to SHEQ and ISO 9001/14001 standards and internal policies.

Uphold escalation procedures with timely and complete communication.
Talent Development and Stakeholder Management:

Maintain up-to-date personal knowledge through continuous product, sales, and business training.

Participate in annual staff satisfaction surveys and update personal development plans annually.
-
Ensure accurate administration of leave, overtime, and expense claims in line with internal policies.
-
Foster strong communication and relationships with internal teams and external clients.\
