Our client in the Automotive Industry (welding and engineering specialists), is currently seeking to employ an experienced Factory Automation and Maintenance Electrician to be based at their North End, Port Elizabeth operation.

Please note: This is a contract role with a duration of 6 months, renewable every 6 months based on performance and project requirements.

Hourly rate:  R100 per hour. 

Requirements:

• Qualified Electrician with a relevant trade certification. 

• 2+ years post Trade Test experience OR relevant experience in line with duties.

• Ability to work on a 2-shift system (06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00).

• Strong commitment to safety and compliance standards.

• Experience in factory automation, electrical maintenance, and repair, preferably within the welding or engineering industries.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Perform maintenance and repair of electrical and automation systems.

• Carry out preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.

• Install and commission new automation equipment as required.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and reports.
