Description

Our client in the FMCG/Retail industry is currently looking to employ a Regional Commercial Lead, based in Gauteng, with responsibility also covering the Free State and KwaZulu-Natal regions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical sales, preferably within the industrial or capital equipment sectors.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Holds or is currently pursuing a relevant business degree or diploma.

  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing full sales cycles and budgets.

  • Familiarity with FMCG production principles, ideally within the meat processing or hygiene solutions sectors.

  • Solid technical background with the ability to understand and demonstrate complex product solutions.

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills, including reporting, planning, and scheduling.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Demonstrated success in customer relationship management, business development, and sales performance.

  • Willingness to travel extensively across multiple regions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the customer experience within the assigned regions, promptly addressing and resolving concerns.

  • Understand customer needs and requirements, building and maintaining positive long-term relationships.

  • Develop tailored solutions based on customer requirements and future growth strategies.

  • Collaborate with customers to provide comprehensive solutions that support market growth.

  • Arrange and conduct product and equipment demonstrations at client sites and company facilities.

  • Develop sales strategies aligned with product offerings, targeting prospective customers and specific markets.

  • Liaise with internal technical, finance, and operations teams from concept through to commercial close-out.

  • Identify new sales opportunities through cold calling and networking.

  • Consistently work towards achieving sales targets in line with budget requirements.
