Description

Our Client, a prominent name in the Property and Retail Management sector is seeking to employ an experienced Payroll Administrator to their team based in Port Elizabeth.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years’ payroll processing experience.
  • Retail or FMCG experience is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Commercial experience with multiple company payroll processing is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative.
  • Highly detail-oriented, accurate, and organized.
  • System-orientated with a focus on efficiencies and process improvements.
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
  • Familiarity with payroll software and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge and experience in preparing and loading bank payments.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Process the full payroll function for multiple companies, covering approximately 350 employees.
  • Import batch data from Astrow attendance software for payroll processing.
  • Capture and update employee records, including leave, new hires, and terminations.
  • Input and reconcile deduction schedules from various stores and entities.
  • Liaise with Store HR officers, senior management, and finance staff regarding payroll matters.
  • Process and upload UIF, EMP201, EMP501, and Workers’ Compensation reports.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of Injury on Duty (IOD) paperwork.
  • Create and prepare payment batches for uploading into banking software.
  • Complete month-end payroll reporting, reconciliations, and filing.
  • Support Finance with Salary Control Account reconciliations.
  • Perform variance analysis and prepare account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and process third-party payments for approval and upload onto bank software.
  • Assist the Group CFO with payroll-related forecasting reports, annual budgets, and updates.
