Description

Our client, a dynamic, growing, and operationally sound business based in Port Elizabeth, is seeking to employ a top-calibre, business-minded Operations Manager to join their leadership team.

This is a senior management opportunity for a results-driven professional with strong operational insight and a passion for people, performance, and process excellence.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Operations, Supply Chain, or Business Management.
  • An MBA or CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification will be highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience in leading, motivating, and managing teams while fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture.
  • Strong background in Supply Chain Management and Warehousing.
  • Solid exposure to Imports and Shipping processes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Distribution Management.
  • Excellent customer service orientation with a focus on delivering quality and efficiency.
  • Familiarity with Marketing strategies and online sales platforms.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to remain agile and solution-driven in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results and deadline-driven with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Passionate brand ambassador with the ability to represent and promote the company’s product range effectively.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Lead and motivate operational teams to achieve company objectives and ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage and optimise Supply Chain, Warehousing, and Distribution functions to support business growth.
  • Oversee Imports and Shipping operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with regulations.
  • Drive customer service excellence across all operational functions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to support brand visibility and contribute to online sales growth.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement across departments.
  • Ensure all processes and activities align with company policies, goals, and compliance standards.
  • Represent the company as a brand ambassador, maintaining professionalism and commitment to its values.
  • Deliver results within set deadlines and adapt to dynamic business demands.
