Our Client in the Property Management Industry, is seeking to employ an Accountant to their team based in Humansdorp.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Proficient in accounting software such as Xero.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Sound knowledge of South African accounting practices.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience in farming or manufacturing environments is advantageous.
• Experience preparing management reports or assisting with audits is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, invoices, and supplier payments.
• Prepare VAT reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledgers.
• Maintain accurate fixed asset registers.
• Prepare annual audit files and liaise with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
