Our client, an established technology solutions provider, is currently seeking to employ a motivated and professional IRE Consultant / Ambassador to join their dynamic service delivery team in the Western Cape.

Requirements:

Grade 12 / Matric is essential.
- A + Certification

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Training and Support Consultant or similar client-facing technical support role.

Strong understanding of Windows Operating Systems and general computer systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate level).

Experience with SQL (ability to write queries) and exposure to Oracle Databases advantageous.

Valid driver’s licence and own reliable,
-
Valid AA Accredited roadworthy certificate (no older than 3 months), and insured transport are essential.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the Western Cape region.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
1. User Engagement and Support:
-
Act as an ambassador for IRE services, supporting users across multiple branches.

Conduct on-site demonstrations, training sessions, and one-on-one consultations.

Communicate system updates, new features, and procedures effectively to users.
-
Build and maintain positive working relationships with all site personnel.
2. Technical Assistance and Troubleshooting:

Provide on-site technical support for IRE-related systems and POS terminals.
-
Investigate and resolve connectivity, hardware, or software issues at branch level.
-
Ensure daily operational processes (e.g., day-end reports, reconciliations) are successfully completed.

Log all incidents and actions taken using Ivanti.
3. Installation and Rollout Support:

Assist with new product rollouts, system upgrades, and version updates.

Install and configure software or hardware components under guidance from internal technical teams.

Conduct functionality testing and obtain site signoffs upon completion.
4. Reporting and Administration:
-
Maintain accurate records of site visits, issues resolved, and follow-up actions.

Submit daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports on time.
-
Complete and submit supporting documentation such as training registers, evaluation forms, and site sign-off forms.
5. Communication and Liaison:

Represent the company professionally during all site visits and client interactions.

Provide brief user orientation or refresher training where required.
-
Communicate client concerns, risks, or recurring issues to internal support teams.
Additional Information:
Working Hours: Standard business hours, with flexibility for after-hours or weekend work when required. Travel: Extensive travel throughout the Western Cape region (including Tyger Valley, Atlantis, Paarl, Somerset West, Bellville, and Cape Town). Contract: Fixed-term (initial 3-month probation period, Employment beyond the initial 3-month period is subject to both performance and the successful outcome of the vehicle application). Physical Requirements: Regular driving and occasional lifting or equipment setup may be required.
