Description	Our client based in Port Elizabeth is currently looking to employ an experienced Fitter and Turner. An awesome career opportunity awaits you! Requirements: A minimum of 10 years post-qualification working experience in a maintenance workshop environment. Completed Fitter and Turner trade test is essential. A valid driver’s licence is essential. Must be willing to attend additional courses to comply with health and safety regulations such as Fire Fighting, Forklift, Scaffolding, Basic PLC, and Boiler courses. Must be able to read and interpret safety documents, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be willing to work overtime as required. Computer literacy Responsibilities, but not limited to: High level of technical skills required for lathe work, use of milling machine, tooling, grinding, drilling, tapping etc. Sheetmetal and Bench works. Basic Hydraulics knowledge (Cylinders, motors and pumps, valves, actuators etc.) Pneumatics skills required for understanding of compressed air equipment and compressors, feed lines, accumulators, cylinders, control circuits etc. Ensure all work is undertaken to a high-quality standard and adheres to all quality standard regulations. Carry out planned and preventative maintenance. Ordering of materials and parts. Safety valve maintenance. Repairs of equipment. Mechanical and electrical fault finding. Operating and repairing boilers (coal and diesel). Preparation of boilers and tanks for statutory pressure tests. Basic electrical skills. Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental Policies. Ensure personal protective equipment is identified and available. Identify and escalate any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damage.
