Our client, a well-established organisation operating within the agricultural industry, is seeking to employ an experienced Accountant to join their team.  This role is based in Addo, Eastern Cape.

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Further qualifications and accounting designations would be advantageous
• Minimum three years’ relevant experience
• Knowledge of accounting and other financial principles and practices
• Understanding of sound governance principles and practices
• Computer literacy – MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and financial processing/reporting software

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Plan, manage and coordinate finance related activities for the business
• Assist in preparation of annual budgets and monitoring actual spending versus budget
• Preparing and analysing monthly management accounts
• Reporting to stakeholders on financial and related matters
• Preparing cash flow forecasts and overseeing the day-to-day cash flow
• Evaluation of control environment, implementing improvements where appropriate
• Providing financial support to the operational side of the business
