Our Client is seeking to employ a Digital Marketing and Social Media Consultant to their team at their head office based in Greenbushes, Port Elizabeth.
Purpose of the Role:
Lead and grow the digital presence across South Africa and the United Kingdom, with a strong social media-first focus. This role blends content creation, community management, influencer partnerships, paid social advertising (Meta), brand protection, and performance reporting — to strengthen brand awareness, increase engagement, and support sales growth.
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing social media for a brand/business.
- Strong content creation and copywriting skills.
- Valid drivers license and own vehicle.
- Advanced working knowledge of design tools (e.g., Canva / Adobe).
- Video filming and editing experience.
- Understanding of Meta advertising platforms.
- Excellent communication, organization, and independent working capability.
- Influencer marketing experience.
- E-commerce/marketplace exposure.
- Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing best practices.
- Experience supporting international markets.
- Photography and videography capability.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:
Social Media Strategy and Community Growth
- Own end-to-end social media strategy across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube (and emerging platforms).
- Plan, schedule, publish, and manage content calendars with consistent brand voice and visuals.
- Stay on top of platform updates, competitor activity, and social trends.
- Identify opportunities for seasonal campaigns and international awareness days.
- Grow communities through organic posting and active audience engagement.
- Manage customer interactions professionally (comments, DMs, queries).
- Track and improve KPIs: reach, engagement, follower growth, CTR, conversions.
- Produce regular reporting with insights and recommendations.
Content Creation, Video and Copy (Social-Optimised)
- Create engaging content for social, websites, ads, and product launches.
- Film, edit, and publish:
- product demos, educational content, testimonials, promotional videos
- short-form video for Reels, TikTok, Shorts, and paid campaigns
- behind-the-scenes, unboxings, and customer-focused video content
- Write captions, scripts, headlines, product descriptions, and ad copy tailored to different audiences.
- Experiment with trends and emerging formats to maximize reach.
Brand Assets and Creative Production
- Design and maintain digital and print marketing collateral, including:
- flyers, posters, brochures, point-of-sale materials, email graphics, product inserts, sales collateral
- product spec sheets and documentation updates
- Ensure all creative output aligns with brand guidelines and visual standards.
- Maintain brand templates and a tidy asset library.
Influencer and Creator Partnerships
- Identify, recruit, and manage influencers and creator collaborations.
- Negotiate deliverables, timelines, and campaign expectations.
- Draft influencer agreements and campaign briefs.
- Brief influencers on product and brand requirements; review and approve content before posting.
- Track performance and maintain influencer databases.
- Build strong relationships with creators and media partners.
Digital Advertising (Meta-Driven Support)
- Assist with the planning, setup, monitoring, and optimisation of Meta paid campaigns.
- Develop ad creative and copy concepts (alongside internal/agency support where needed).
- Support monthly reporting and performance analysis.
- Collaborate with external agencies/partners as applicable.
Brand, Reputation and Community Management
- Protect and strengthen the brand across all customer touchpoints.
- Monitor brand sentiment and online reputation.
- Promote media coverage, partnerships, and PR opportunities.
- Coordinate giveaways, competitions, customer reviews, and community initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of campaigns, reviews, and influencer activity.
E-commerce and Product Content Support
- Create and update product content for websites and marketplaces.
- Support product launches with marketing materials and supporting copy.
- Ensure product information, imagery, and content remain accurate and current.
- Assist with UK content creation and optimisation.
Administration and Reporting
- Maintain organized digital asset libraries (shared drives, folders, archives).
- Compile social, PR, influencer, and campaign performance reports.
- Track deadlines, deliverables, and ongoing campaign tasks.
- Support internal marketing requests and cross-departmental projects.
